Friends of Hospice East Bay Welcome Author, T.D. Arkenberg

Friends of Hospice East Bay invited me to be the keynote speaker at their annual fundraiser. The charity held two events at the lovely Orinda Country Club in Orinda, California on Friday, April 28 2017. All money raised, including all profits from sales of my three books, supported Hospice East Bay.

130 ladies attended a talk and luncheon on Friday afternoon, April 28, 2017. I read a chapter from my third novel, None Shall Sleep, spoke about the creative process, and answered many questions from the engaging group. I capped off the event with a reading from my short story, Marguerite and the Grand Sablon, contained within a soon-to-be-released volume of Brussels-themed stories, A Brussels Dozen.

Later that evening, three dozen guests attended a cocktail reception. At that event, I spoke of the seeds of creativity, offering examples from my three published novels as well as the catalyst for, Aftershock, another short story in my upcoming compilation of Brussels stories. Attendees were most interested in how the author’s experience working for a global airline helped to inspire his debut novel, Final Descent.

Thanks to all of day’s guests for giving me a warm welcome in support of the great work done by Hospice East Bay. My sincere gratitude goes out especially  to dear friend, Anna Reza. She and her husband, Ken made my appearance possible.
